Friday was the last day of classes before the weekend, in the evening we all went round to the house that four of the lads have just moved into and we all just chilled out and had a laugh together.

Wednesday was a pretty quiet day too, after classes we just chilled out again in the evening and watched a movie.

Classes started at 8.30am until 2.50pm again on Monday. I didn’t do much after class just chilled out really and played a bit of Football Manager. There’s not much to do in evenings now that we have no soccer practice at the minute.

Sam, Alex, Jazz and me travelled back to Banner Elk in the afternoon which took about 2 hours. When we got back we had a bit of homework to do and then we went out for something to eat.

We just chilled out again today, getting over the huge amount of food I ate yesterday! I got up and watched Arsenal play at 10am, then the Chelsea game was on after that.

We got up in the morning and went to Concord Mills which is one of the largest malls on the east coast of America just outside Charlotte. It was Black Friday and the biggest shopping day of the year with massive sales in every shop, it was packed.

Today was Thanksgiving, my first one! We ate at 2pm and had all the traditional American food similar to a Sunday roast and I was impressed, it was pretty nice.

Today we just chilled out all day. We had hotdogs at Jazz’s dad’s house then went to the movies and watched Hitman. In the evening we didn’t do much just enjoyed the time off.

Today after my classes Sam, Alex and me all went back to Jarret’s house for the rest of the week. It was Thanksgiving break so we didn’t have to be back to school until Monday.

It was back to class again today, when we finished classes at 3pm it felt a bit strange because we didn’t have training anymore now the season is over. We all still felt really disappointed with how the game had gone.

Didn’t do anything today, just went out to eat and that was about all we could do. Loosing isn’t a feeling you get over overnight.

Game day. I chilled all day ready for kick off at 7pm. We played Montevallo from Alabama. My mate Steers plays for them, he played with me at Chesterfield in my first year.

The day before the game and everyone was really excited about tomorrow’s big match. It’s been the best year in the school’s history so far athletics wise. The girls competed in the cross country nationals, the volleyball team also competed in the nationals this week along with us

I had classes during the day on Wednesday and study hall at 5pm. We all trained in the evening and I got to join in as we didn’t do as much, we just played head tennis in the tennis centre.

There were no classes today and no work study so had a good lie-in and chilled out until practice. Again I sat out and did the same as yesterday. We had study hall after practice and then I went to sleep as soon as I got back to the dorms.

Sunday turned out to be a recovery day; we just chilled out and did a few jobs but nothing too strenuous!

On Monday I got my x-ray results back for my injury and they showed no fracture but bad tendonitis

Saturday was game day again and kick-off was at 7pm so after pre-match we chilled out then went up to get changed. Another big crowd watching and the game was again on the internet and live commentary on the radio station.

Thursday was game day and everyone knew about the game. We watched Clayton State vs Lander first, a bit of a shock result really because Lander beat Clayton State 1-0. We played at 7pm in freezing conditions of 27 degrees fahrenheit.

Everyone was really excited around college ahead of tomorrow’s big game; it’s the first time in school history that we have qualified for the Nationals so it’s another record that we have set for the school this season.

After class we went to training, this time it was back to normal and we found out that we would be hosting the regional tournament for the Nationals. The first round of the Nationals is on Thursday, it’s really difficult to understand at first how it works out and I have only just understood it now.

I had to be up at 8am for my morning class which wasn’t nice after the long journey home last night. We all had class as normal and then it was practice at 4pm. The lads that had played in yesterdays match just did some jobs around the changing rooms

The girls’ final was the first match played and it was between Queens and Belmont Abbey. Queens won on penalties. Our game followed and again it was on the radio. The game was tight just as it was earlier in the season.

After progressing to the final we were now staying until Sunday night so we collected our Conference title at the banquet in the afternoon and then we chilled out for the rest of the day. After eating in the evening we all went to the pictures and relaxed in preparation for the big game ahead.

The day of the semi-final. We played Belmont Abbey in the evening so we got to watch the other semi final between Queens and Pfeiffer, Queens won 2-1. After we had eaten we got ready to play against Belmont Abbey

Today was a good day, after my lie-in we set off for Mount Olive College, which is 5 hours away near the coast, for the Conference tournament semi-finals and final which were being held over the weekend.
