Classes started at 8.30am until 2.50pm again on Monday. I didn’t do much after class just chilled out really and played a bit of Football Manager. There’s not much to do in evenings now that we have no soccer practice at the minute.

We got up in the morning and went to Concord Mills which is one of the largest malls on the east coast of America just outside Charlotte. It was Black Friday and the biggest shopping day of the year with massive sales in every shop, it was packed.

Today was Thanksgiving, my first one! We ate at 2pm and had all the traditional American food similar to a Sunday roast and I was impressed, it was pretty nice.

I had classes during the day on Wednesday and study hall at 5pm. We all trained in the evening and I got to join in as we didn’t do as much, we just played head tennis in the tennis centre.

There were no classes today and no work study so had a good lie-in and chilled out until practice. Again I sat out and did the same as yesterday. We had study hall after practice and then I went to sleep as soon as I got back to the dorms.

Sunday turned out to be a recovery day; we just chilled out and did a few jobs but nothing too strenuous!

On Monday I got my x-ray results back for my injury and they showed no fracture but bad tendonitis

Saturday was game day again and kick-off was at 7pm so after pre-match we chilled out then went up to get changed. Another big crowd watching and the game was again on the internet and live commentary on the radio station.

Thursday was game day and everyone knew about the game. We watched Clayton State vs Lander first, a bit of a shock result really because Lander beat Clayton State 1-0. We played at 7pm in freezing conditions of 27 degrees fahrenheit.

Everyone was really excited around college ahead of tomorrow’s big game; it’s the first time in school history that we have qualified for the Nationals so it’s another record that we have set for the school this season.

After class we went to training, this time it was back to normal and we found out that we would be hosting the regional tournament for the Nationals. The first round of the Nationals is on Thursday, it’s really difficult to understand at first how it works out and I have only just understood it now.

The girls’ final was the first match played and it was between Queens and Belmont Abbey. Queens won on penalties. Our game followed and again it was on the radio. The game was tight just as it was earlier in the season.

After progressing to the final we were now staying until Sunday night so we collected our Conference title at the banquet in the afternoon and then we chilled out for the rest of the day. After eating in the evening we all went to the pictures and relaxed in preparation for the big game ahead.

Today was a good day, after my lie-in we set off for Mount Olive College, which is 5 hours away near the coast, for the Conference tournament semi-finals and final which were being held over the weekend.
